Q: What is "Drop-In" Personal Training?
A: Drop-In Personal Training is semi-private training with the same personalized instruction by our highly skilled, professional and passionate personal trainers, but with the added benefit of a flexible pre-set schedule that does not require an appointment.
Just sign-up for a monthly package including "Drop-In" Personal Training, check out the schedule, and show-up when you are ready. Great for those with chaotic schedules who have problems scheduling personal training sessions in advance, or for those who just want to be able to add an extra session here or there when they feel up for it. Q: The schedule has 'Level I' and 'Level II" sessions. Which should I attend?
A: Level I is intended for WFS beginners. Level II is for those who have trained at WFS regularly.
Q: What kind of training do you do in the Drop-In sessions?
A: The sessions are largely done in circuits with some of the most diverse, exciting and effective equipment out there. It is up to the individual trainer to decide during the session what exactly you will be doing that day, but look below to get an idea of some of the sessions you may experience:

Kettlebell Crush
Kettlebell Crush is a dynamic, outrageously intense experience that you must try to truly understand. This session incorporates intense cardio and strength training centered aroung the kettlebell. An old school training modality, kettlebells date back not only to the Russian athletes and legendary turn-of-the-century strongman, but variations of the kettlebell can be found all around the ancient world- even the the legendary Shaolin Monks employed a stone version of the kettlebell. Our kettlebell trainers are well trained in proper technique and practices to keep your workouts safe as well as fun!
Each Crush session is an intense, half-hour workout based on our signature circuit training that Westfield Fitness clients have come to know and love! A jam-packed half hour that is not only heavy on the kettlebell, but incorporates so much else- everything from bands and balls to free weights, ropes, TRX, Ultraslide and so much more. You will do more before you get to work than most people do all week.
TRX Suspension Training
TRX Suspension Training® is one of the most exciting and effective new modalities of training today. Traditional weight training often only works one muscle at a time, which is contradictory to the normal coordinated muscle effort used to complete most activities. Focusing on only one muscle at a time is more likely to lead to overuse injuries and muscular imbalances, as well as potentially limit strength and movement gains. Suspension Training® allows for the use of multiple planes of motion and works multiple muscles and joints simultaneously so you not only work safer, but you get leaner, stronger & fit faster.
And because each individual can control the resistance and level of difficulty by simply shifting the position of their body, TRX is perfect for gentle rehabilitation, hardcore athletic training, and everything in between. Everyone can benefit from Suspension Training®.
WFS 101
WFS 101 is designed for the absolute newcomer, to our most Elite Athlete. For new clients, WFS 101 gets those who have never seen the inside of a gym before (or, at least not for awhile), back into balance and ready for the next level in their training. Through soft tissue work, muscle activation techniques, dynamic movement, core stability & power exercises, you will gain strength, flexibility, mobility, stability- and you’ll get a nice sweat while you are at it! These are the exact same exercises and techniques that all WFS personal training clients – private and semi-private- are initiated into our training with, conducted in our signature "Drop-In" Personal Training formula, making it a cost efficient, convenient and highly effective way to train. Not only is WFS 101 a great workout in itself, but just like English 101, WFS 101 lays all of the essential building blocks to help newcomers get ready to ‘graduate’ to more intense training classes. After graduation, athletes and those more advanced in their training will find WFS 101 a great warm-up for the kettlebell classes that follow.

Metabolic Interval Training, or M.I.T. is perfect if you're crunched for time but need a simple, efficient and effective workout that burns through fat at lightning speed. M.I.T. incorporates all of the training tools at WFS -- explosive plyometrics, strength/conditioning complexes and circuits that are the foundation of our training. Safe, creative, exciting & fun, each session only lasts 30 minutes but trust us, that is all you will need.
